As a high school student, her and her team worked through the age-appropriate transition assessment planning process to help her explore being a firefighter. The entire case study for Jessica is located in this section. At the end, we have included additional case studies for you to look through and apply your new knowledge.
Jessica’s case study and the others listed could be included in a professional learning opportunity for any professional supporting a youth in transition. Professional learning could focus on each step of the transition assessment process and how professionals could improve their personal practice. Multi-agency teams could use the case study to see how they could work collaboratively to support a youth too.
