New and Improved Website for Employment First
Visit the new and improved OhioEmploymentFirst.org website! The site includes improved navigation, resources, events, news, toolkits, and more! It highlights the progress, partnerships, and collaborations throughout the past 11 years of Employment First in Ohio.
New Agency Navigation Tool
What does this agency do? Who is eligible for their services? What services are available? As transition students and their families navigate transition planning, it’s important to know and understand those agencies that can support and prepare them for their adult life vision. We’ve added three new partners to the Agency Navigation Tool: Centers for Independent Living; Medicaid’s OhioRISE; and Ohio Department of Transportation’s Mobility Managers. All offer supports or services to students, families, and/or professionals navigating transition.

New Training Available this Winter
Establishing Families as Partners in the Secondary Transition Planning Process Training is available January and February 2024. Professionals supporting transition students and their families will have the opportunity to improve their family engagement knowledge and practices. No matter your organization – County Board of DD, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, schools, Family and Children First Council, mental health providers, and more – this training is for you!
New Interoception Training
Starting in January 2024, Kelly Mahler, OTD, OTR/L, an OCALICONLINE keynote is teaming up with OCALI to host the Interoception: Feeling the Feels online training series.
