Discover Design and Deliver 2016 UDL Summer Institute

August 4-5, 2016
Quest Conference Center | 8405 Pulsar Place | Columbus, OH 43240

The 2016 UDL Summer Institute presents an instructional framework that reduces barriers and maximizes learning opportunities for all students. Participants will be introduced to strategies for designing a curriculum, instruction, and materials that help improve student comprehension and achievement. By removing the barriers to learning, supporting better access to information, and providing multiple, flexible, approaches to learning, we can help chart a path toward success for all students.

The beauty of this instructional framework is that it's not just another initiative to add on to the ever-increasing list. The framework brings our learning initiatives together and provides strategies for successfully integrating them into our day-to-day curriculum. Participants will leave with an understanding of the UDL framework, tools, and resources that support learning, and have access to content professionals. The Institute is designed for administrators, general and special educators, curriculum specialists, technology specialists, and district and building leadership team members.

The Institute will host a cadre of professionals from the field of Universal Design for Learning. The professionals represent the broadest spectrum of talent available and are the "premiere" group for providing professional learning services.

Topics include:

  • Neuroscience of Learning
