Self-Advocacy and Self-Determination - Evidence Based Practices


In session ten, the learner will:

  • Discover the differences between self-advocacy and self-determination and some of the skills that are a part of self-determination.

  • Learn about the research behind these two practices and how they impact outcomes for students and adults.

  • Review resources for self-advocacy and self-determination and discuss and reflect how these skills can be incorporated into classroom instruction.
