What is the Ohio UDL Collaborative?
Ron Rogers, the OCALI UDL Center Director, leads the Ohio UDL Collaborative, with representation from each of Ohio's 16 State Support Teams. The purpose of the UDL Collaborative is to design materials and resources to support the implementation of Universal Design for Learning throughout the state of Ohio. Consultants provide professional learning opportunities and coaching to district teams so that instruction is designed intentionally, with barriers removed, leading to students becoming expert learners!

Allison Posey, Author
Allison Posey works for CAST and participates in the development of content and materials that support all learners through the implementation of Universal Design for Learning. She leads professional learning programs and the development of UDL credentials in order to integrate current understandings from brain science about learning into instructional practices.

Katie Novak, Author
Katie Novak is a practicing leader in education as the Assistant Superintendent of the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District in Massachusetts as well as an internationally recognized expert on Universal Design for Learning implementation. With 15 years of experience in teaching and administration and an earned doctorate in curriculum and teaching, Novak designs and presents workshops both nationally and internationally focusing on implementation of UDL.

Ron B. Rogers, Ed.D works directly with Ohio’s 16 State Support Teams on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and braiding it into an overall System of Support. In the past, Ron worked with district leadership teams through the Ohio Improvement Process (OIP). Ron worked with districts that were in continuous improvement while assisting them to excellent with distinction. Ron is a lifetime Alumni of The Ohio State University. Ron has over 30 years of professional expertise in the areas of education and criminal justice. Ron has served as a curriculum specialist, director, principal, technology consultant, and classroom teacher. One of the people that created the #UDLchat. Presently Ron is the Program Director with the UDL Center at OCALI.
