Individualizing and Coordinating Transition Services to Help Students Reach Post-School Goals

March 4, 2021 | 4:00pm

Coordinating and individualizing services for students is important as they transition from school to adult life. Join this roundtable discussion with a local educator, County Board of Developmental Disability Service and Support Administrator, and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) supervisor as they discuss transition services from their agencies, how they share data from those services, and work toward being “outcome focused, agency neutral, and person-centered” to help students achieve post-school goals.

Presented by: Alex Corwin, M.A., Secondary Transition and Workforce Manager at OCALI; Catie Riker, Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, Job Training Coordinator at Washington Local School District; Sarra Burnham, Master's in Special Education and Licensed Social Worker, Community Inclusion and Employment Manager at Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities; Jeannette Bostelman, Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling (MRC) and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor at Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities
