Third Thursday - Healthy Relationships: The Foundation for Helping Your Child with a Disability
November 17, 2016

Families of children with disabilities face the same challenges that all parents do, but they also face some common additional challenges. They face learning about the special needs of the family member with a disability, interacting with the many professionals who may be involved, and balancing the needs of each family member, including themselves. Balancing all these relationships is critical, but also a valuable support. Each family has its story and each family finds its way. Listen to the story of Fred and LeTreese Jones and the way they've worked with each other, family members, and professionals, to support their son with ASD.
