Brain Injury Association of Ohio

BIAOH is a statewide advocacy and education organization established in 1982 to improve services and supports to Ohioans with brain injury and their families, and to promote prevention.  OCALI and the Ohio Department of Education work collaboratively with BIAOH to improve educational services for students with brain injury. BIAOH provides the following services to Ohioans facing the challenge of brain injury:

  • A toll-free statewide Helpline: 800-444-6443
  • A network of Community Support Network Coordinators who link individuals and families with existing services and supports
  • A lending library
  • A website listing brain injury prevention resources
  • Legislative advocacy to promote support for individuals with brain injury and their families
  • Ongoing collaborative planning with public and private agencies to improve supports for individuals with brain injury, families, professionals and advocates
