Autism Seldom Walks Alone! A Discussion on Co-Occurring Conditions

Tuesday, May 20, 2014 - 6:30 - 8:30pm

OCALI - 470 Glenmont Road - Columbus, OH 43214

As researchers have studied autism disorders more carefully, they have come to realize that autism often is accompanied by additional conditions that can cause difficulties. Some people have anxiety symptoms that make it difficult to interact with others using skills that they have and others have short attention problems as seen in individuals with ADHD. There are other health problems that occur more frequently in people with autism such as sleep problems and epilepsy. In this session we will discuss some of these frequently accompanying conditions and what we can do to help improve outcomes for this group.

Presenter: Daniel Coury, MD
